Les origines de Gran Sasso commencent en 1952 à Sant’Egidio alla Vibrata, une petite ville au sud de la frontière entre la région des Marches et des Abruzzes. 4 frères (Nello, Eraldo, Alceo et Francesco Di Stefano) passionnés de tricots décident de montrer au monde leur talent et la qualité de leur savoir-faire. Ils choisissent le nom de Gran Sasso, clin d’oeil au massif alpin éponyme de leur région. La marque Magnifico Gran Sasso, comme elle est parfois appelée, devient rapidement une icône incontestable de la mode made in Italy. Tricots, vêtements casual et formels Gran Sasso comptent désormais parmis les pièces-maîtresses du dressing de tout gentleman qui se respecte. Chaque produit est confectionné par des artisans hautement qualifiés, chaque tissu, laine ou maille sont sélectionnés parmi les plus belles matières que l’on peut trouver, chaque étiquette est cousue main.
