Lorenzo Fluxa a fondé Camper en 1975 pour répondre à la demande croissante d’un nouveau style de chaussures. Issu d’une famille de cordonniers, M. Fluxa s’est appuyé sur ses connaissances de l’artisanat traditionnel pour créer une nouvelle marque audacieuse et créative. L’engagement de longue date de la famille Fluxa envers le savoir-faire et l’innovation remonte à 1877, lorsque le grand-père de Lorenzo, Antonio Fluxa, un cordonnier talentueux, est parti de Majorque pour rejoindre l’Angleterre. Il en est revenu avec dans ses bagages la première machine à coudre de l’île, et une approche révolutionnaire de la cordonnerie artisanale. Les chaussures Camper sont conçues et développées à Inca, en plein cœur de Majorque. Tout une équipe de jeunes stylistes y travaille en étroite collaboration avec des artisans talentueux pour créer de nouveaux modèles chaque saison. Dirigée de nos jours par la quatrième génération de la famille Fluxa, Camper étend son empreinte dans le monde entier et se retrouve dans les plus belles boutiques et concept-stores de la planète.
