Choosing the right size

To find shoes that fit well, you need to measure your feet correctly. There are several quick and easy ways to find your size. Here are 3 of them:

The professional pedimeter

This professional tool measures the length of a foot. Fun and perfectly suited to children’s feet as well as adults’, it is very quick and easy to use: ideal for measuring your own size or checking your children’s during the season.

This pedimeter is available on our website.

How does it work?

  1. Place the pedimeter on the floor.
  2. Standing up, put your right heel on the rounded mark and keep the rest of your foot flat (toes spread out). Stand up straight and look ahead.
  3. Slide the white tab to the tip of your foot, on the scale.
  4. Read your size. If the pedimeter shows 2 values, take the larger one. That’s it, you know your size!

The printable pedimeter

Click the button below to print our pedimeter on a standard sheet of paper (A4, actual size, 100% scale) and measure your foot on it:

  1. Print the pedimeter and place it on a flat surface on the floor.
  2. Stand up and put your foot flat (toes spread out) on the sheet, making sure your heel is right at the back of the space provided.
  3. Read your size on the scale.

As one foot can be larger than the other, measure both feet and go with the larger size. For example, if your foot is between a 38 and a 39, round up to the next size: your size is 39.

Measuring in cm

You can also use a blank sheet of paper to measure your foot.

How does it work?

  1. Put your foot flat on a blank sheet of paper and trace its outline with a pen.
  2. Repeat with the other foot.
  3. Measure the maximum length with a ruler or a tape measure.

To convert this measurement into a French (EU) size, we use the French system, or Paris point, in which the length in cm equals 2/3 of the size. For example, if your foot measures 25.9 cm, the formula is 26 cm / 0.666 = 39: your French size is 39.

For children’s feet, remember to leave a margin of about 1.2 cm at the front of the foot. This is the growth margin (a child’s foot grows by 3 mm every 30 days on average).

At La Botte Chantilly, our selection of UGG shoes celebrates everything that makes the brand so loved: feel-good materials, cosy textures and designs that are instantly recognisable. The result? Shoes you’ll want to wear on repeat, season after season.

UGG shoes: from Californian surf culture to a worldwide style icon

It all started in the 1970s with Brian Smith, an Australian surfer who saw the potential of sheepskin as a way to create something different in footwear. After moving to Southern California, he introduced the iconic UGG boot – a style that quickly found its place in surf culture. From San Diego to Santa Cruz, surfers loved slipping into their warm, comfortable boots after a session in the chilly Pacific Ocean.

But UGG soon became much more than a post-surf essential. Its relaxed look and unmistakable comfort caught the attention of a much wider audience, taking the brand from Californian beaches to the international fashion scene. Today, UGG shoes are a wardrobe staple around the world, bringing together laid-back Californian vibes, comfort and a style all of their own.

What makes UGG shoes so comfortable?

Sheepskin: the material behind the UGG feel

One of the things that makes UGG shoes instantly recognisable is their use of sheepskin. Soft, cosy and naturally insulating, it’s a material that feels great from the very first wear. Its wool fibres help keep feet warm when it’s cold while allowing moisture to escape, making it comfortable in a range of conditions. The leather also brings flexibility and durability, giving each pair its distinctive feel.

From classic UGG boots to easy-going low UGG boots, this natural material is at the heart of the brand’s identity. Depending on the style, different linings and finishes add their own touch of softness and warmth. It’s this combination of comfort, texture and unmistakable design that keeps UGG footwear so popular.

Boots, clogs and platforms: UGG goes beyond the classics

UGG has come a long way from its original boot. The collection now includes a whole range of silhouettes to suit different styles and everyday routines. Low UGG boots offer a lighter, more laid-back take on the classic, while UGG clogs bring a fresh twist to everyday dressing, with styles that work just as well indoors as they do outside.

UGG slippers have also become more than just something to wear around the house. With their cosy feel and easy-going look, they’re the kind of footwear you’ll happily keep on all day. And for those who like a little extra height, platform UGG styles give the brand’s familiar shapes a bold, contemporary edge. Plenty of ways for every woman to find her own take on UGG shoes.

UGG colours: easy to wear, easy to style

Beige, grey and black: the shades that go with everything

When it comes to colour, UGG keeps things effortlessly versatile. Beige is one of the brand’s signature shades, inspired by the natural colour of sheepskin. Warm, understated and easy to mix and match, it’s a go-to for relaxed everyday outfits.

Want something a little different? Grey adds a cool, contemporary touch and works just as well with casual denim as with more polished looks. Black, meanwhile, gives UGG shoes a more urban feel. It’s an easy choice for anyone who loves the comfort of UGG but prefers a sharper, more understated look.

New colours, fresh ways to wear UGG

UGG regularly refreshes its collections with seasonal shades and new designs, giving you even more ways to make these iconic styles your own. From familiar neutrals to more unexpected colours, there’s always something new to discover.

One of the best things about UGG shoes is just how easy they are to style. Wear them with your favourite jeans, relaxed trousers, leggings or an oversized knit. Go for a casual weekend look or add a laid-back touch to a more put-together outfit. However you wear them, UGG brings that effortless balance of comfort and style that works season after season.

UGG: comfort, innovation and a more considered approach

Everyday comfort, with a technical edge

UGG’s approach to comfort goes beyond its signature sheepskin. The brand also develops technologies designed to make its footwear lighter, more practical and comfortable to wear. Some styles feature Treadlite outsoles, designed to combine lightweight cushioning with grip, while selected designs include features that help improve breathability.

UGG slippers and other comfort-focused styles can also incorporate supportive footbeds and cushioning inspired by performance footwear. It’s all about making everyday comfort feel even better, without losing the relaxed look that makes the brand so recognisable.

Moving towards more responsible practices

Alongside its design and comfort innovations, UGG is developing initiatives to reduce the environmental impact of its products and production processes. These include work on wool traceability, the use of recycled materials and improvements to certain tanning processes.

The brand also supports initiatives and partnerships focused on communities and craftsmanship. These commitments are part of a wider effort to make UGG evolve while staying connected to its roots. A mix of heritage, creativity and everyday comfort that keeps UGG shoes firmly in the world of contemporary fashion.
