C’est en élevant leurs enfants que Marianne Bisgaard et son mari Henrik ont eu l’idée de créer la marque qui porte désormais leur nom. En effet, le « métier » de parent leur a permis d’être au cœur des besoins des enfants, d’être à l’écoute de leurs attentes, d’étudier les petits pieds qui grandissent. C’est alors que la marque Bisgaard est née, en 2005, et que la production de chaussures commence. La devise du couple est simple : un maintien parfait, des matériaux naturels et un design innovant. La majorité des chaussures sont fabriquées au Portugal, par des artisans hautement qualifiés, dans des usines certifiées SMETA et BSCI.
