This is why El Naturalista's tanneries use a semi-vegetable tanning process (that uses less chemicals and water than regular or 100%-vegetable tanning processes), and 100%-recycled rubber outsoles. Some of their shoes are also garantee chrome-free !

Moreover, since 2003, El Naturalista has launched several projects that aim to provide unfavored kids some care and educational facilities in third-world countries such as Haïti, Peru and Tanzania.
