Back in the 1990s, then-football player and (later) Under Armour founder Kevin Plank, noticed that during games, his compression shorts were always dry whereas his T-shirt was soaked with sweat. It gave him the idea to design technical clothing, that would enhace player's performance. Very soon, Under Armour launched its first collection of sportswear technical clothing, made to wick sweat away and to thermo-regulate the body of its wearer.
